We're hosting a one-day, in-person Operator Day for Eagle Eyes customers and field operators in Las Vegas. We're running two one-day sessions so you can pick the date that works best. You'll run hands-on SAR scenarios with an experienced instructor, learn a repeatable workflow you can bring back to your team, and meet drone operators from other teams. Bonus: each participant receives a complimentary annual Eagle Eyes Pro license for 1 device.

We're scheduling Operator Day around two conferences in Las Vegas - we'll be giving talks at both.

Syrotuck Symposium (Apr 19–20) - The Syrotuck Symposium 2026 is for SAR professionals who want to go deeper into the science and practice of finding people. With a focus on detection, it brings together research, emerging tools, and training approaches that can help teams improve how they search and operate in the field.
National Missing and Unidentified Persons Conference (Apr 21–23) - NMUPC 2026 is one of the few events that brings the entire missing persons response community into one room. For SAR teams, it's a chance to learn from real cases, discover new tools and approaches, and build connections that can improve search outcomes.

Scenario-based exercises; applying Eagle Eyes Pilot in realistic search workflows
Store, organize, and share drone footage with your team
Operational playbook: team roles, SOPs, and checklists

Plenty of hands-on field time

Requirements

Bring your own drone/controller. If attending as a team, at least one drone per team. Must be compatible with Eagle Eyes Pilot.
Each attendee must be an active drone operator, authorized under their org's rules and the FAA framework.

Logistics

Duration: 1 day (~8 hours)
Schedule: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. We start with a morning classroom briefing, then head out for afternoon hands-on field training.
Classroom location: Red Rock SAR, Las Vegas - 8:30–9:00 walk-in & coffee
Transportation between the classroom and the field site will be arranged
Included: Lunch, transportation from the classroom to the field location and back
Not included: Travel to/from Las Vegas, lodging
Accommodation: The Eagle Eyes team is staying at the Downtowner Boutique Hotel (~15 min drive from the classroom venue)

Lead instructor: Nick Rivers

Nick has been active in Search and Rescue (SAR) since 2010. He serves as a Search Manager and Ground Search Team Leader Instructor, and has led hoist, rope, and swiftwater rescues. Nick built the drone team for Arrowsmith Search and Rescue and has taught a range of SAR drone courses, as well as Lost Person Behaviour and Electronic Search Specialist courses. SAR is Nick's passion, and he believes drones are shaping the future of search and rescue.
